Why Should I Participate in a Clinical Research Trial?

By participating in a research study, you will help provide information to researchers about investigational treatments that may help your condition. As part of a study, you will receive study-related medical care for your condition. Compensation for time and travel are also provided.

Below you will find an example of a recruitment notice referring to one of MHNI's headache studies. If you are interested in receiving additional information regarding the Institute's research projects, please call the Research Division of MHNI at (734) 677-6000, option 4.

Recruitment Notice Example:

MHNI is conducting a research study for migraine. Participants must be at least 18 years old and suffer at least 2 headaches per month. Study-related medical care and compensation for time and travel are provided.

Other Resources for Research Participants

The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) is a first-of-its-kind nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and informing the public, patients, medical/research communities, the media, and policy makers about clinical research.

CISCRP is not involved in recruiting patients for clinical trials nor is it involved in conducting clinical trials.
